Don Muang Airport

Don Muang residents climb scaffolding stairs to get to the Don Muang Tollway, which is the only transport route still functioning to the north of Bangkok.

An aerial view shows the ‘‘big bag’’ barrier put up across Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and Don Mueang airport. Residents say the bags are prolonging the floods in their areas.

Mechanics take out parts of a car and lay them out to dry on the Don Muang Tollway after the vehicle was submerged in floodwater.
