Bangkok Flooding Ocean

Tha Phra Chan Road in front of Thammasat University is flooded. Meanwhile, Song Wat Road in Samphanthawong district is flooded up to about 30cm, due to the huge volume of water overflowing from the Chao Phraya River.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, of a total of 900,000 flood victims around the country, about 6,500 are suffering from depression with 5,000 of them receiving medicinal treatment from psychiatrists.

Lak Si and Taling Chan districts have been declared evacuation zones as floodwater continues to rise.

The Administrative Court in Lak Si district has extended emergency holidays to Nov 4 because the high level of floodwater in the area is making the court building difficult to reach.
Vendors try to keep their feet dry and carry on their trade as usual along the flooded Maha Rat and Phra Chan roads. 


Rows of sandbags are placed to keep water from the Khlong Prapa canal from flowing into Pracha Chuen Road. 

Metropolitan Waterworks Authority officials have made a hole in a concrete barrier to release water into Khlong Bang Khen near Phetcharat School in Chatuchak district.

The 2,500 rai area of Buddha Monthon Park in Nakhon Pathom has been flooded, with the water level reaching up to 1.5m.

Residents of Khlong Sam Wa district staged a protest demanding the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration lift a floodgate higher to drain water into Khlong Saen Saep more quickly.

The southern bus terminal on Boromratchonnanee Road is closed due to flooding. A temporary terminal has opened at the Holland Beer Hall on Rama II Road, which has the capacity to handle up to 60 buses at a time.
