Bangkok Flooding November 02

Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra insists that repairs to the damaged Khlong Sam Wa Sluice gate are essential to prevent flooding in Rarm Intra and Ramkhamhaeng Road. However, Pheu Thai MP for Min Buri Wicharn Meenchainant argues the BMA's plan will not improve the flood situation. 

he Office of Atomic Energy for Peace assures there will be no radiation leak from a nuclear reactor located at its office on flood-hit Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.

A government distribution centre for essential consumer goods has been relocated from Bangkok to Hemaraj Industrial Estate in Chon Buri to make deliveries more efficient and end the problem of shortages, according to Froc.

Animals at flooded Safari World Zoo in Klong Sam Wa have been moved to higher ground. The zoo was closed on Wednesday so that floodwater could be pumped out of the premises.
